With Fortnitemares 2019 underway to coincide with Halloween, Epic have also including the traditional new challenges that will give you cosmetics for participating in the event.
A lot of these Fortnitemares challenges seem to revolve around the Storm King, who is a big bad from Save the World: the first time there’s been such a big crossover between the two game modes.

Fortnitemares 2019 Challenges
Destroy Haunted Household Furniture (5) – 30000 XP
Leap from a Hideout while an opposing player is within 20m (1) – 30000 XP
Search a chest in a haunted forest, a ghost town, and a spooky farm (1) – 30,000 XP
Deal Damage to Storm King weak point (10,000) – Storm King spray
Revive teammates while battling the Storm King (3) – Storm King icon
Defeat the Storm King (1) – Victory Umbrella

As a quick reference, here’s what the haunted household furniture looks like. You can find them in many large houses in named locations on the map. The below haunted household furniture is in Frenzy Farm.
As for ‘Search a chest in a haunted forest, a ghost town, and a spooky farm’, the haunted forest is Weeping Woods, a spooky farm is Frenzy Farm and a ghost town is an unnamed location.
That Victory Umbrella has already been revealed, and is a pretty sweet little umbrella to add to your locker.
From the sounds of this, the battle with the Storm King is going to be a very big, team-based thing, almost like a raid from something like Destiny. The STW counterpart certainly takes a lot of damage, so expect that to be the case here too.
You will also be able to pick up some Fortnitemares skins over the course of the event. Don’t forget that the Wavebreaker pack is now available, along with the The Final Reckoning pack.
Fortnitemares 2019 takes place from October 29th until November 4th.
