Fortnite v5.30 is incoming, and with the game currently in downtime while Epic make their hamsters run around in wheels to make sure it’s pushed out correctly, the patch notes for what’s to come have been revealed. Shotgun fans will be happy, as well as anyone wanting an entirely fresh LTM.
Pump shotguns have been buffed every so slightly, meaning that their swap time has been reduced from almost a full second to 0.86 seconds instead. This may not seem like a lot, but that fraction could make all the difference. The “cooldown” was introduced to stop double pumping but with the community split on the decision, it looks like Epic are trying for a middle ground.
The Rift-To-Go has also been added to the game and will be available in Epic rarity in stacks of two. Other players will be able to use your rift for a whole ten seconds after you use it, so it may not be quite as useful as first thought if enemies can immediately give chase.
A new LTM has also been introduced: Score Royale. An interesting twist on the Fortnite formula, players will earn points based on actions within a match. Eliminations are a given and dole out a hundred points, but players can also use stuff like mushrooms to score for ten points each. Looks like Wailing Woods might be very popular in this mode.

If you see something you don’t like, be sure to beg for likes on Twitter or scream “FORTNITE WE WANT” into the void.
