The Spire Assassin’s Primal Shotgun is a Mythic weapon added at the start of Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 6. Much like other Mythic weapons in the past, it’s not exactly a walk in the park to get this powerful weapon.
Here’s everything you need to know about the new Fortnite Mythic shotgun, including its stats, where you can find it on the map, and tips for how you can use it.
Spire Assassin’s Primal Shotgun Stats

“Spire Asssassin’s personal Primal Shotgun.”
Spire Assassin’s Primal Shotgun is a heavy-hitting shotgun that deals roughly 40-70 damage depending on how close you are — the closer, the better. It shoots two shells at a time in a 12 shell chamber, meaning that it will burn through your ammo fairly quickly thanks to its high rate of fire.
The closest comparison for the gun is the Drum Shotgun, which hasn’t been seen outside of LTMs since the launch of Chapter 2. This Mythic is much, much stronger than that weapon, but it is quite difficult to try and claim it from the Spire Assassin herself.
Spire Assassin’s Primal Shotgun Location

To claim the Spire Assassin’s Primal Shotgun, you must eliminate the Spiral Assassin herself, which is no easy feat. She is located at The Spire, the new location right in the middle of the Fortnite map. She is typically situated near the top, but never at the summit itself, where The Foundation is frozen. You can hear her when you’re close as she speaks and she has her own soundtrack that will kick in.
With 500+ shield and 100 HP, Spire Assassin is a very sturdy opponent to take on, especially as she seems to be able to use the power of the rift to teleport short distances. Adding to that, her weapon is extremely powerful and capable of dealing some very high damage up close. We’ve been eliminated within a second of trying to take her on.
For that reason, we recommend that you keep your distance and use a rifle when fighting Spire Assassin in Fortnite. As long as you keep peppering her with bullets from afar, she should eventually fall. It’s also a good idea to try and do this with a friend or squad for the first few times until you’re a bit more familiar with all of the season’s new mechanics and weapons.
Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
