The Lord giveth, and he taketh away. That seems to be the mantra at Epic Games today as they’ve added one item back into Fortnite and taken another way. Season 6 looks like it’s already been a testing one for the team.
Shadow Stones, the new addition for Season 6 that give players all manner of weird abilities, were temporarily removed after they were exploited so that players could stay invisible forever as well as shoot. Epic have since addressed the bugs and added them back.
The caveat for this good news is that the Port-A-Fortress has had to be removed because the load is too much with the changes not mixing well with the high amount of people playing. Yesterday, Xbox One players were unable to play for hours and the performance has generally been a bit choppy since Season 6 began. However, considering how unliked the item is, maybe it’s a good thing for many Fortnite players.
We have temporarily removed the Port-a-Fortress to address degraded performance.

Fortnite Season 6 has introduced huge changes for Fortnite, some of which include map tweaks, pets, and a whole new Battle Pass with some rather rad skins. With its throne set to be challenged by Black Ops 4 and Red Dead Redemption 2 in October, Epic will probably be hoping that Season 6 is a success.
