Fortnite Season 6: How To Unlock The Neymar Skin (UPDATED)

After weeks of teases, including him being a big part of the marketing for the whole season, PSG and Brazil superstar Neymar is finally available in Fortnite as a skin.

Fully unveiled in Week 6, Neymar is the “secret” Battle Pass skin for Season 6. He’s one of many skins in Battle Passes in Chapter 2 that have been crossover skins, which has drawn some controversy from the Fortnite community as they used to be reserved for storyline skins. However, if you have the opportunity to collaborate with one of the biggest sports stars in the world, you have to take it.

Here’s everything you need to know about the crossover skin, including how to unlock Neymar in Fortnite and the soccer NPC quests you need to complete.

 

What Does The Neymar Skin Look Like In Fortnite?

Ahead of its official reveal, the Neymar skin was leaked by @ESFortniteBR on Twitter, which you can check out for yourself above.

Neymar will have four different styles in total, two for his normal football persona and another for what appears to be a superhero Neymar, which might be familiar to anyone who bought TheGrefg’s Icon skin. Just like that creator, it seems as if Neymar wants his skin to be a little larger than life.

There’s other Neymar cosmetics too, including a Pickaxe, Glider, and Loading Screen. It will be interesting to see if you can complete Neymar challenges to unlock those extra cosmetics, which has historically been the case for other collaborations and secret skins.

 

How Do You Unlock Neymar In Fortnite?

You will need the Season 6 Battle Pass, first of all.

The Battle Pass will set you back 950 V-Bucks, or you can subscribe to Fortnite Crew, the game’s monthly subscription service that gives you V-Bucks and an exclusive skin each month.

Then you will need to complete the following challenges to collect all Neymar cosmetics:

TALK TO AN ISLAND SOCCER PLAYER
Soccer-loving Characters on the Island. Strike a conversation! Unlocks the Soccer Ball Emote Toy and a Neymar Jr Banner.

COMPLETE 3 QUESTS FROM ISLAND SOCCER PLAYERS
A good player always helps their teammates. Unlocks the Neymar Jr-themed Matador Loading Screen.

COMPLETE 5 QUESTS FROM ISLAND SOCCER PLAYERS
Become a true ace. Unlocks the Neymar Jr Outfit.

DROP KICK THE SOCCER BALL TOY 500 METERS AS NEYMAR JR
Fortnite meters, that is. Unlocks the Joia Trophy Back Bling.

SCORE A GOAL WITH THE SOCCER BALL TOY AS NEYMAR JR
You can do this one in your sleep. Unlocks the Jaguar Strike Pickaxe.

ELIMINATE 3 OPPONENTS AS NEYMAR JR
Complete this objective to free the primal self within…This Quest unlocks the Shhh. Emote, a built-in Emote for Neymar Jr that awakens one of his primal forms.

There will be different soccer/football NPCs at Pleasant Park that you need to help with quests to unlock all the Neymar cosmetics. You need just five to unlock the Neymar skin himself.

So they seem to be the following format:

– Hit targets with the soccer ball toy (you unlock the toy for talking to soccer NPCs)
– Hit a player with the soccer ball toy (you unlock the toy for talking to soccer NPCs)
– Travel distance on foot

Just doing these five challenges, two of which you can do super easily, will help you unlock Neymar in Fortnite. You can keep repeating them over and over again until you hit the 5 quests needed, just keep talking to the NPC. Bear in mind that when you talk to the soccer NPC to begin with, you will need to go into a new match before you can use the Soccer Ball Emote Toy, which is needed for quests as well as a separate challenge that will help you unlock the Jaguar Strike Pickaxe.

You can complete other quests over the course of season to unlock additional Neymar cosmetics. To unlock his Primal form, you just need to rack up three eliminations with him

 

Fortnite Neymar Skin Release Date

Neymar will be available in Fortnite from April 27th, 2021. That’s when the challenges will also go live.

 

Will Neymar Ever Come To The Item Shop?

As Neymar is a Battle Pass skin, he will never come to the Fortnite Item Shop.

Once Season 6 is over, you won’t ever be able to get the skin again, either. So if you really want to add the skin to your locker, don’t hesitate. We’re about halfway through the season at this time of writing.

 

Who Is Neymar Again?

Neymar, full name Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, is a Brazilian footballer who plays for PSG in France’s Ligue 1. Previously of Barcelona, he made the move to the French capital for a record €222 million in 2017.

Neymar is also an avid gamer and previously played Fortnite with Ninja way back at the end of 2018, though can mostly be seen playing PUBG Mobile these days.
