Fortnite Season 5 Guide: Jump Through The Flaming Hoops & Hoop Locations

Fortnite flaming hoops

The scavenger hunt style challenges continue strong into season 5. This one functions a little differently from the usual type of scavenger hunt challenge, however. Scattered throughout the map are flaming hoops hovering in the air (think the circus ones).

The idea is to drive an ATK or Shopping Cart (with you in them) through the hoop. It has to be five different hoops and you must travel through them in the above vehicles for it to give you credit. Most of the hoops have wooden ramps near them to assist you in sailing through them majestically. There is no particular rule to where or how the rings spawn, but they do spawn in the same place every match and they’re very easy to spot from a significant distance away.

Finally, you do not need to complete all five hoops in a single match or use the same type of vehicle for every hoop. Just use whatever is on hand and drive on through. Personally, I recommend using an ATK as they’re much easier to coax through the hoop than the Shopping Cart, especially if you’re alone. Half the battle then, is getting the ATK to the hoop before some ass shoots you out of it.

Below is an overview of the main map with all the Flaming Hoops I could locate, circled in red. There are far more Flaming Hoops than the challenge requires (i.e. there is more than five Flaming Hoops on the map). Personally, I found ten Flaming Hoops, but there may be more. All you need to do is find an ATK drive to the five closest to you.

Located on the north side (front entrance) of Flush Factory is a giant toilet (acting as the company mascot), with a Flaming Hoop above it. No pre-built ramp for this one though, you’ll need to build your own ramp to get up to this one. D4 on the main map’s grid.

Giant Chair | D8

Fortnite giant chair

If you follow the road leading north out of Flush Factory it’ll take you to an unnamed town which has a giant pre-built wooden chair (the most notable feature of this town). Just south of this chair is a hill with a Flaming Hoop at its base next to the road. This appears as D8 on the main map’s grid.

Lazy Links | E3

Lazy Links flaming hoop

South of Lazy Links is a dilapidated ice cream truck atop a hill, with two wooden ramps either side. Above this truck is the Flaming Hoop. E3 on the main map’s grid.

Paradise Palms | J8

Paradise Palms flaming hoop

Directly east of Paradise Palms is a ramp (and a few headstones) that seemingly leads into the ocean. The Flaming Hoop rests above the ocean, practically daring you to attempt it. Fear not though, there is a rift below the hoop, just remember to dismount from your ATK so you can glide away (or you’ll fall to your death). This appears as J8 on the main map’s grid.

Snobby Shores | A5

Snobby Shores flaming hoop

Southeast of Snobby Shores lies a small ravine. Perched above the ravine is a Flaming Hoop with ramp on the Snobby Shores side of the ravine. Located in A5 on the main map’s grid.

Stunt Mountain | C5

Stunt Mountain flaming hoop

Just south of Stunt Mountain and north of ‘Soccer Stadium’ is a Flaming Hoop. About halfway up Stunt Mountain is a steep incline with a wooden ramp at the end of it, use this to get through the hoop. C5 on the main map’s grid.

Tomato Town Tunnel | G4

Fortnite Tomato Town flaming hoop

The road leading south out of Tomato Town takes you through a tunnel, if you continue to follow this road through the tunnel the Flaming Hoop will be just floating there above the road. You’ll have to build your own ramp for this one. This appears as G4 on the main map’s grid.

Umbrella Quarry | e3

Umbrella fire hoop

Southwest of Lazy Links lies a small quarry shaped like an umbrella. The Flaming Hoop is situated just above the ‘handle’ of the umbrella shape, complete with ramp. This appears in E3 on the main map’s grid.

Once you’ve driven your ATK/Shopping Cart through all five different Flaming Hoops, you’re done with this challenge. Nothing tricky to it, besides possibly finding an ATK and getting it to each hoop before someone breaks it on you.

This challenge and the typical weekly treasure hunt challenge are the two more involved challenges for week four.
