Fortnite: Chapter 3 – Season 3: Is The Pump Shotgun Unvaulted?

Ever new season of Fortnite is a new chance for Epic to refresh the loot pool, and that’s certainly what they’re doing with a series of unvaultings for Season 3 of Chapter 3, including the Baller. But is the Pump Shotgun among them?

The answer is no, the Pump Shotgun is not back in the Fortnite loot pool at the start of Season 3. This means that it hasn’t been seen in the game since the start of Chapter 3, though it has been updated behind the scenes for a return at some point in the future. However, it does look like it has been nerfed, meaning that it may not be able to do 200 damage when it returns.

If you’re disappointed that the Pump Shotgun isn’t back in the game, try out the new shotgun coming to Season 3, the Two-Shot Shotgun, before you get too down. Variety is the spice of life, and using the same shotgun for the best part of five years is one very quick way of getting tired of the game.

However, the Pump Shotgun is still available across Creative in all of its rarities, so feel free to drop into some Zone Wars and get blasting if you’re really missing the Pump. It’s quite the controversial weapon, as while it’s very popular among most Fortnite players of any experience, it’s also a very offputting weapon for new players to get hit by as it’s so powerful. A lot of the meta for almost half a decade has revolved around getting up in someone’s face and using the Pump, which has grown stale for some.

Elsewhere in Season 3 in terms of weapons, the DMR is a new semi-auto sniper of sorts that’s going to be great for Zero Build, while the Hammer Assault Rifle looks like plugging a gap that the SCAR left behind,

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
