Fortnite: DMR Stats & Location

Fortnite DMR
Fortnite DMR

High powered scope rifle

The DMR is a weapon added to Fortnite in Chapter 3 – Season 3.

A marksman rifle, the DMR is as close to being a sniper rifle as you can get without ever being one, as it doesn’t excel at far range like a traditional sniper and is also semi-automatic, meaning it can hit faster. It’s like a cross between the Automatic Sniper Rifle (VSS) and traditional Sniper Rifle previously seen in Fortnite.

Here’s everything you should know about the DMR in Fortnite.

The DMR is available from Common to Mythic rarities in Fortnite.

The DMR’s stats will improve in reload time and damage the higher the rarity it is. All rarities have the same fire rate and magazine size of 10.

The highest damage you can do with a DMR is with a Mythic DMR headshot that will do 97.5 damage, meaning that you will not be able to eliminate anyone in a single hit, even if they have no shield. However, the fact that the weapon is semi-automatic means that you can shoot again shortly after you land your first hit. This is an advantage over the traditional Sniper Rifle, which typically has quite the delay between shots.

Fortnite DMR Location

The Fortnite DMR is available in all rarities, meaning that it spawns everywhere that loot typically spawns.

Find the DMR in chests, on the floor, in supply drops, and generally anywhere that you’d find a normal weapon, though the higher the rarity, the harder it is to find.

Don’t forget the option to craft upgrades for your weapons.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
