Fortnite: How To Search 100 Chests

How many?!

Fortnite has thrown a spanner into the works for Week 6 of Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season with the introduction of Team Challenges, the first one asking you to open 100 chests in total.

While you can do this challenge on your own, you are going to be at it for a very long time across plenty of matches. The game actually recommends that you use a squad of four to complete it, so we suggest that you play a match of Squads to do so.

Note that this does not have to be your actual friends, it can be with randoms in Squads and they all rack up the same way. Your teammates will be opening chests naturally whether you communicate with them or not, so this is probably the least long-winded way of doing it.

As for where exactly you can find the most chests in Fortnite, Misty Meadows has roughly 45 chests spread across its seaside town. We estimate that if you drop with a squad of 4 and open every chest across multiple buildings while also realising that other players will be opening chests, you will be able to finish this challenge in five or so matches.

Catty Corner, Retail Row, and The Fortilla also have an absolute tonne of chests, so those might be other landing spots worth trying to help you finish off this challenge.

This seems to be Epic’s swap for Party Assist, which hasn’t been in Fortnite for a long time and doesn’t also look like coming back. That’s a shame, but seeing how this extra long challenge will give you 80,000 XP, which is a huge step up on your Battle Pass, it will be worth it in the end.

Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 3 is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
