Fortnite Find A Family Portrait

While Fortnite‘s challenges in Season 5 have been a little on the boring side, there’s one for week 12 that may actually be related to the storyline: Find A Family Portrait From A Shipwreck.

What’s interesting in this challenge is that there are actually multiple portraits, each showing a character that we’ve not yet seen in Fortnite lore. All of them may come to the game as skins, though they may just be hinting at something to do with the storyline instead.

Here’s everything you need to know to Find A Family Portrait From A Shipwreck in Fortnite: Season 5.

You want to travel to Shipwreck Cove, a Landmark, for the purposes of this challenge. It’s down in the southeast of the map and has almost zero traffic as it’s way out of the way of anything.

There are three family portraits in total to discover:

– There is one portrait of a woman seemingly without eyes by a crate in the west side of the location.
– North and to the east and near a giant rock is a second portrait, this time of a rich looking man with what looks like a monocle.
– The third family portrait is in the east of this location inside a bathtub. It shows a man with glasses in a chair smoking a pipe.

Interacting with any of the portraits will work for the sake of this challenge.

A unique Epic Quest for this week and one that may well be suggesting some major story progression is inbound, though it could just be showcasing some future skins. Neither male skin looks like a typical Fortnite skin, though, so you might just want to keep an eye out for more easter eggs like it in the future. That female skin is almost certainly going to be sold as a skin at some point.

Completing this challenge will net you 20,000 XP to put towards your Battle Pass. The other major challenge for Week 12 involves you visiting Scenic Spot, Gorgeous Gorge and Mount Kay.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
