Fortnite v13.40 has brought with it the very fun Joy Ride update, meaning that players can now go speeding around the island thanks to the addition of cars. Epic aren’t messing around when it comes to challenges to celebrate this new introduction, one challenge asking you to Drive A Car from Retail Row to Pleasant Park In Less Than Four Minutes.

On paper, this sounds easy. Cars are the fastest vehicles in the game, particularly the Whiplash: the sports car that wouldn’t be out of place in GTA. However, when there are many other players trying to complete this challenge, it might be the hardest challenge of the season.

Here’s what you need to know to Drive A Car from Retail Row to Pleasant Park In Less Than Four Minutes.

Retail Row to Pleasant Park: Best Route

Cars go much faster when driven on a road, so luckily for you there’s a road that goes from Retail Row to Pleasant Park. The red line on the map above shows the quickest route with a gas station circled in purple.

There are an absolute tonne of cars in Retail, but the best place to drop will probably be the car park at the back of the POI. Trying to get a car ahead of everyone else might be quite difficult, though.

So, there are a couple of things to bear in mind when it comes to these cars. For starters, all cars have a 1 in 3 chance of spawning, meaning that sometimes there will be a lot of cars in Retail and other times there will very few.

In addition, the amount of fuel per car is also entirely random. Sometimes you’ll hop in a car with a full tank, other times it will be nearly empty. That’s why we recommend you stop off at a gas station along the road route.

One final thing to note: while the Whiplash is the fastest car in Fortnite, boosting everywhere will dramatically decrease your amount of fuel. You can refuel your car, but just be way of how much you’re using while you’re cruising around and blaring out Cardi B.

This challenge will unlock at 2PM BST on August 6th.

Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 3 is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
