It’s been a longer wait than many of us expected to see a new Icon Series skin for a content creator in Fortnite, but with the release of v20.10, a new Icon is finally on the way: Chica.
Chica, real name Maria Lopez, has been connected to Fortnite almost since the very start of the game’s life way back in 2017, though she does also play other games like FNAF and also do RL streams. You can find her streaming on Twitch to her millions of followers or on YouTube to her audience of 1.5 million. She’s a pretty big deal.
Here’s everything you need to know about Chica’s Icon skin in Fortnite, as well as how she will cost and when she will release.
Fortnite Chica Icon Skin
UPDATE: Chica’s skin has officially been revealed on her Twitch stream. It will come with different styles, including a mask style.
The skin is inspired by her Puerto Rican heritage and is packed with little details, including a birthmark on her stomach.

Chica’s emote is also the best emote added to the game.

The Chica skin seemed to be unencrypted with the release of Fortnite v20.10, as it was very quickly found in the files. This is peculiar, as Epic has taken to encrypting all of “the good stuff” in recent updates with leakers unable to access them.
The Chica skin will come with three different styles. As well as that, it’s unconfirmed but if other Icon series skins are anything to go by, we should see other cosmetics, such as a Back Bling and Pickaxe, sold alongside it.
Fortnite Chica Icon Skin Price
To date, all Icon Series skins with Fortnite content creators have cost 1500 V-Bucks when sold in the Fortnite Item Shop. Therefore, expect Chica to also cost 1500 V-Bucks.
Players will also almost certainly be able to purchase a complete Chica bundle for around 2000 or so V-Bucks that includes all of the cosmetics plus the Chica skin itself.
Fortnite Chica Icon Skin Release Date
Chica will release in the Fortnite Item Shop on Saturday, May 7th, 2022 at 8PM ET.
Like other Icon Series/crossover skins in general, Chica will likely remain in the Item Shop for between one and two weeks before she is rotated out.
Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
