Fortnite: How To Ride Raptors

After previously being leaked for what feels like years, rideable raptors are finally coming to Fortnite: Chapter 4 – Season 3. While raptors were previously added to the game a couple of years ago, you could never do much with them apart from tame them to help you out in combat, or eliminate them to get them to drop resources. Now, that’s all changed.

To ride a raptor in Chapter 4 – Season 3, players just need to jump on top of a wild raptor to tame it, then they can start steering it around just like boars and wolves in previous seasons. If players find an egg, they can also nurture it until it hatches into a raptor, and it will be born as a friendly mount.

Raptors can most easily be found in the jungle biomes of the map that were added at the start of Chapter 4 – Season 3. Find them running around in packs.

It’s quite fitting that raptors are finally rideable in Wilds, as they were original added in a Chapter 3 season called Primal. Both seasons are similarly themed, but it will be interesting to see if Wilds is anywhere near as polarising as that arguably far too “busy” season.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
