Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 2 Battle Pass Skins: Meowscles, Midas, Maya & More

Behold: all your new drip.

With the first season of the game’s second chapter now behind ahead us, it’s time to look at the kind of drip we can expect from the Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 2 Battle Pass in terms of new skins.

As is the case every season, you hand over your V-Bucks and get 7-8 skins as part of the deal. Completing challenges has unlocked new styles for these skins in previous seasons, and there’s always one secret skin that you unlock by completing a specific amount of challenges. For Season 1, you unlocked “alter-egos” of the Battle Pass skins which usually turned them into bad guys, so it will be interesting to see what Epic do this time.

With Maya, Fortnite now has its first ever truly customisable skin, meaning that you can now customise them as you see fit. That’s a pretty huge deal with it bound to be a fan favourite throughout the season. We also might be getting Deadpool with this update.

As has always been the case for each new season, Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 2’s Battle Pass costs 950 V-Bucks, which translates to £7.99/$9.99.

Here’s our video detailing every single reward from the Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 2 Battle Pass.

Here’s what you get with the Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 2 Battle Pass in terms of skins, all accompanied by a review.

Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 2 Battle Pass Skins

Battle Pass Tier: 1
Rarity: Legendary

Rating: A+

Just the sheer fact that Maya has an outrageous combination of looks possible means that she is now one of the best skins in the game. What a good gesture from Epic, we can’t wait to be sweated on by every single variant of her.

Agent Peely

Battle Pass Tier: 1
Rarity: Epic

Rating: C

Listen, we all love Peely, but we’ve seen so many variations on him now that the comedy factor really has worn off. If you had to make me choose between Agent Peely and the OG Peely, it would have to be the original. Though Agent Peely has styles, it’s still just a variation at the end of the day.

Brutus

Battle Pass Tier: 20
Rarity: Epic

Rating: B

Coming across like if Batista and Thanos had a baby together, Brutus is one chunky boy with neck tattoos and sunglasses that he wears indoors. The skin is fairly decent overall, though the size of Brutus makes him unlikely to be a common pick for sweaties.

TNTina

Battle Pass Tier: 40
Rarity: Epic

Rating: A-

A pretty cool female skin for the Season 2 Battle Pass, TNTina comes with two selectable styles, once again showing the difference in the good and the bad. Honestly, though, we think her default style is the best one.

Meowscles

Battle Pass Tier: 60
Rarity: Epic

Rating: B

A fairly strong comedy skin for Season 2 of Chapter 2, Meowscles is one burly cat with pecs that flex, which is something I never want to see again. Meowscles has two different styles for the Shadow and Ghost challenges which are both equally good.

Skye

Battle Pass Tier: 80
Rarity: EpicEpic

Rating: C

If this was a skin unlocked on the first couple of tiers of the Battle Pass, we would like it a lot more. However, as it’s a tier 80 skin, typically reserved for some really outlandish and wacky skins, we think Skye is probably the weakest of all the skins included, even with some slight variations.

Midas

Battle Pass Tier: 100
Rarity: Legendary

Rating: A

We feel this is definitely an improvement over last season’s tier 100 skin for Fortnite, Midas featuring a really cool 20s gangster vibe, as well as the ability to turn everything gold. We can’t wait to see how that works in game, as well as work towards his tier by diving deep into the updated map.

Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 2 is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
