Football Manager 2023 Editor: Release Date, Price & What You Should Know

Football Manager 2023
Football Manager 2023

Want to be able to customise your Football Manager 2023 save to almost however you want? Feel the burning need to find out how Haaland would fit in at Yeovil? Or maybe you just want to raise all of your players to 200 current ability and win the lot without even trying? The Football Manager 2023 In-Game Editor could be just what you’re after.

A (slightly controversial) tradition for Football Manager, the In-Game Editor is essentially a bit of DLC that allows players to do whatever they like with the game’s database. Players can be moved around at will, abilities can be altered, and you can even give yourself basically all the money you could ever need to be a success. While some people don’t like the In-Game Editor each year, thinking that it’s basically paid cheats, it’s definitely a great tool for creative saves.

Here’s everything you should know about the in-game editor for FM 23, including when it releases, how much it costs, and where you can play it.

Football Manager 2023 Editor Release Date

UPDATE: the Football Manager 2023 In-game Editor is available now.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Football Manager 2023 Editor is due to release on the same day that the game officially releases, November 8th, 2022 on PC and Mac. As of this writing, the game is only available as a beta to those who pre-ordered it.

November 8th will also mark the release date of the Steam Workshop for custom formations and other community creations.

Football Manager 2023 Editor Price

UPDATE: the Editor is indeed more expensive this year (again), costing £6.99 / $8.99 / €8.99. Bit expensive.

ORIGINAL STORY: The FM 23 Editor should cost roughly the same as last year’s In-Game Editor, which cost £5.99 / $7.99 / €7.99.

However, last year’s Editor actually saw a price rise from the year before. Here’s hoping that isn’t the case again for Football Manager 2023.

Is the Football Manager 2023 Editor Coming To Other Platforms?

Traditionally, the In-Game Editor only comes to the PC and Mac version of Football Manager, and we expect that to be the case this year again, as the PS5, Xbox, Switch, and mobile versions of the game are basically entirely different games.

On PC, players will be able to buy the In-Game Editor for sure on Steam, though we’re not entirely clear on the situation yet with Windows Store or Game Pass subs. We will update this when we know for certain.
