It’s been a busy week for Focus Home Interactive, having already revealed the ambitious Hardspace: Shipbreaker earlier in the week. Today, they’re revealing the tactical RPG Othercide, which is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One this Summer. Check out the trailer for yourself below.
Developed by Lightbulb Crew, Othercide sees you control a powerful army of warriors known as the Daughters, who are echoes of the greatest warrior to have ever lived, as they wage a war inside a dying timeline against a deadly force known as The Suffering. It all sounds bright and cheerful, doesn’t it?
As for the gameplay, Othercide utilises a Dynamic Timeline system that allows you to plan ahead of time to set up ability combos that can devastate your opponents. Your performance in combat will determine the level of rewards you receive, with mistake leading to permanent scars. Eventually, you’ll also have to sacrifice one of your Daughters to heal another, which sounds brutal. The press release also promises epic boss battles and a tragic narrative, which makes Othercide one to keep an eye on when it launches this Summer.
