FIFA 21: How To Change Commentators

"That shot was high, wide and not so handsome."

FIFA 21

FIFA 21’s commentary is definitely interesting. Derek Rae and Lee Dixon take the reins for this year’s edition as the default commentators, having previously been the Champions League commentators in earlier games.

If you want to change commentators and hear Martin Tyler and Alan Smith for the English UK version in FIFA 21 instead, how do you do it?

Well, you can’t. Despite there being the option in FIFA 20 and 19 to switch between commentators, there is no such feature in FIFA 21. You are stuck with Derek Rae and Lee Dixon. Martin Tyler and Alan Smith are not a part of the game.

It looks like we won’t be hearing “three of the best, he’s made them pay, and that completes a wonderful hat-trick” anymore, which is a great shame.

This might be quite the shock to some FIFA fans, especially as he legendary Martin Tyler and not-legendary Alan Smith have been helming commentary in the franchise for over a decade. EA haven’t commented on them not being a part of FIFA 21.

While Tyler and Smith’s commentary has changed very little over the years, it was good to have the option in previous FIFAs to switch commentators to freshen things up. Being stuck with Rae (who has a Patridge-ian quality to him) and Dixon is the latest in a long line of things missing from FIFA 21. Not only is My Club impossible to find in FUT, there was also no demo for FIFA 21.

FIFA 21 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. A Legacy Edition is also available for Switch, but don’t buy that.
