PQube have announced that Earth Defense Force 5, which was already available on PS4 digitally, will now be receiving a physical release in the US and Europe. It’ll launch on September 18th for PS4, and you can check out the debut trailer below.
EDF 5 features over a 1000 weapons, which you’ll need to take on the game’s 110 levels with multiple scaling difficulties. The game also includes single player and multiplayer, so you can take down the hordes of alien insects with up to three friends.
We’ve already reviewed the digital version of Earth Defense Force 5, and we enjoyed it a lot, so a physical version sounds good to us. From our review:
I feel almost dirty recommending Earth Defense Force 5. Even though it tends to run more like a PowerPoint presentation than a full priced video game at some points, it’s such a fun guilty pleasure, packed with dozens of hours of content, that I can’t help but give it a pass.
