Before the announcement of Microsoft purchasing Zenimax and, thus, Bethesda, the biggest announcement regarding Xbox and Game Pass was that EA Play would be coming to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. Now, we have a launch date, as EA Play will be bundled into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on November 10th, just in time for the launch on the next-gen console.
Wait, What’s EA Play?
EA Play, formerly known as EA Access, is a subscription service that bundles together a host of EA titles as part of the service’s Vault. All of these games, of which there’s about 70-odd, will become available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers on November 10th. Only the console version of EA Play will be available on the 10th, but the PC version is set to launch in December as well.
EA Play also offers subscribers discounts on EA titles, meaning if you’ve got some Apex Legends loot you’d like to purchase, EA Play allows you to save a bit of money in that respect. Couple that with the fact that certain EA Play titles will be available via cloud gaming, and this partnership looks set to be a lucrative one.
