E3 2016: Titanfall 2 DLC for Maps and Modes Will Be Free

Titanfall 2

It’s something that’s becoming a bit of a trend within the modern gaming industry: AAA DLC being partly free with paid options for cosmetic items. According to Respawn Entertainment’s head of development David Wightman, Titanfall 2 will do the same.

Speaking at an EA Play event last night:

“We’ll definitely be supporting Titanfall 2 post-launch, and I can confirm all maps and modes we deliver post-launch will be free. We’ll be talking more about post-launch plans closer to release so stay tuned for more info.

“We’re doing this for the community, not the dollars.”

This is a move probably spurred by the fact that Titanfall’s playerbase died very, very quickly after launch. Giving something back to the players keeps them keen and this announcement will probably seen an upturn in pre-orders, which you can do here.
