Does Dying Light 2 Have New Game Plus?

Dying Light 2 5
Dying Light 2

Dying Light 2 is a massive game where your choices matter, with the story constantly throwing some tough decision at you. If you want to start all over again but not grind your skills back, you might be wondering if Dying Light 2 has New Game Plus.

Unfortunately, no, Dying Light 2 doesn’t have New Game Plus, meaning that you will have to start all over from square one each time you want to start again.

This is honestly a bit of a dampener on multiple playthroughs for Dying Light 2, as it’s very hard to get excited for the grind again when you have to play for a considerable amount of time before you get basic skills like sprinting. Couple that with the fact that you can’t manually save to see how your choices actually matter and you might not want to return for a second round after you roll the credits.

Instead of New Game Plus, Dying Light 2 returns you past the point of no return at the end of its story and makes the enemies harder.

However, it’s worth bearing in mind that New Game Plus is often added post-launch in games these days, with games like God of War and Ghost of Tsushima springing to mind. This is also Techland we’re talking about, who tend to support their games beyond the extra mile. There’s no reason why Dying Light 2 can’t get New Game Plus at some point, even if it’s not at launch.

Elsewhere in Dying Light 2, don’t forget to read up on how you can get your hands on all those pesky Inhibitors to max out your health and stamina.

Dying Light 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S.
