Dragon Ball FighterZ Trailer Shows Newest DLC Characters In Canon Showdown

Dragon Ball Fighterz

A new video for Dragon Ball FighterZ was released today on Bandai Namco Entertainment America’s official YouTube channel. The video is a gameplay trailer showcasing two new DLC characters, Fused Zamasu and Vegito SSGSS.

The trailer introduces Zamasu and Vegito one after the other, each fighter displaying their incredible combos and devastating supers against their canon rivals. Fused Zamasu faces off against SSGSS Goku before Vegeta shows up to fuse with Goku, creating Vegito SSGSS and evening the odds in a battle straight out of the anime. It’s up to the player to decide if the battle finishes like it did in the anime as well.

As you can see in the video, Fuzed Zamasu is a bit of a “floaty” character, with combos designed to keep him in the air and knock his opponent into the ground. Meanwhile, Vegito SSGSS is more of an all-around brawler, using close and far range techniques to hit his opponent from anywhere on the battlefield. Make sure to stick around until the end of the trailer for a bonus: An epic look at Future Trunks’ ‘Dramatic Finish’ against Fused Zamasu.

Zamasu and Vegito will both be making their official FighterZ debut tomorrow on May 31 across consoles and PC. This will be the second wave of DLC for Dragon Ball FighterZ, after Broly and Bardock were released earlier this year.

Dragon Ball FighterZ released in January of this year to a largely positive response from fans of the anime and fighting games alike. You can check out our official review for more of our thoughts on the 2.5D fighting game:

“Despite some single player shortcomings, Dragon Ball FighterZ really comes into its element once you take the game online and start battering your friends. Or just some random lobby dwellers. For Dragon Ball fans, this is a love letter to the franchise. For fighting game fans, this is the definitive Tag fighter that Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite should have been.”
