Publishers Kalypso Media have announced that the HD remasters of classic strategy titles Commandos 2 and Praetorians will be coming to the PS4 and Xbox One on September 18th, allowing strategy fans to experience some nostalgia from the comfort of their own couch. Check out the trailer below.
The remasters, developed by Yippee! Entertainment and Torus Games, are full upgrades of the classic titles from Pyro Studios, bringing with it new tutorials and campaign missions, controller support and an “integrated version of Praetorians – HD Remaster’s multiplayer mode”, according to the press release. Just like the PC release, Commandos 2 – HD Remaster and Praetorians – HD Remaster will be available to download and purchase either individually or as part of a Double Pack, with the Double Pack also receiving a physical release. Strategy games seem to be few and far between on consoles, so this looks to be a solid addition to the library.
