Codemasters Confirm Dirt 5 Will Be An Xbox Series X/S Launch Title

Dirt 5

It wouldn’t be a next-gen console without a reputable racing game becoming part of the launch line-up, and the Xbox Series X/S is no different. Codemasters have announced that their upcoming racing game Dirt 5 will be a launch title for the new consoles, arriving day 1 on November 10th. To celebrate this news, here’s some more gameplay footage.

The footage above showcases more of the already revealed Ice Breaker events, which sees up to 12 racers battling it out over frozen race tracks. Hopefully, the Ice Breaker name is just there for show, because I’m not looking forward to the idea of a surprise underwater level in Dirt 5.

Dirt 5 is set to launch on November 6th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, with Amplified Edition owners scheduled to receive the game 3 days earlier. From there, the Xbox Series X/S version will launch on the same day as the console version on November 10th, with a PS5 version also in the works. Likely, that’ll launch on day 1 too. If you purchase the PS4 or Xbox One version, you’ll receive a next-gen upgrade, free of charge for that console family.

There’s also a Google Stadia version set for launch in 2021, which… yay, I guess?
