Code Vein Network Test Set For Later On In May

PS4 and Xbox One only.

Code Vein

Bandai Namco have announced that Code Vein will be receiving a closed Network Test later on in May, where players will be able to create a new character, explore the opening area along with the subsequent high level dungeon.

Players will be able to tackle the additional dungeon in online co-op, allowing you to tackle the horrors of the vampire post-apocalypse with your friends. Sign-ups are live right now on the Bandai Namco website, but spaces are limited so act fast. Unfortunately, the test will only go live on PS4 and Xbox One, and exact dates and times haven’t been shared yet. Bandai promises those details will drop in the next few weeks.

Code Vein will be available later this year on PS4, Xbox One and PC via Steam, and we recently had a chance to play an updated build of the game. We came away quite impressed, as Code Vein manages to both juggle the difficulty of a Soulslike game with improved on-boarding mechanics, tutorialisation and more. Code Vein also adds plenty of new features to the mix, which could make it a sleeper hit for 2019. Check out our thoughts right here:

Code Vein might share a similar formula to the popular Soulslike genre, along with an incredibly familiar basic story premise. However, it utilizes features and ideas that’ll make the game more appealing to players who are yet to try those titles. These features give the game some much needed identity in an ever-growing genre, but Code Vein still retains those core concepts of the genre that the more hardcore fans can identify with. We’re incredibly interested to see more.
