Nothing beats the battle of wits between Class 1-D and the other classes in Classroom of the Elite. Based on Shogo Kinugasa’s light novel, the story follows Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, a mysterious and cunning student of Class 1-D. In the Season 2 finale, Ayanokoji is threatened by Arisu Sakayanagi, who was revealed to know Ayanokoji’s past. Since there’s more conflict for Ayanokoji to resolve, fans wonder if there’ll be a Classroom of the Elite: Season 3.

Fortunately, Classroom of the Elite: Season 3 was officially announced in March 2022. It was confirmed during the Kadokawa Anime Channel presentation a month after the second season was greenlit. With the light novel and manga still ongoing, the anime getting a renewal was no surprise. Still, when’ll Classroom of the Elite: Season 3 come out?

When Is Classroom of the Elite: Season 3 Coming Out?

Thankfully, Classroom of the Elite: Season 3 is confirmed to release in 2023. However, a specific release date is yet to be announced. While waiting for an announcement, we can still speculate on when Season 3 will come out.

Based on its previous seasons, a safe bet for Season 3’s release date is July 2023. That’s because the first season debuted in July 2017, and the latest season aired in July 2022. If the studios follow the same tradition, we can expect the same for Classroom of the Elite: Season 3. However, we never know if the production studio will opt for a different Season 3 release date.

What Is Classroom of the Elite: Season 3 About? (Spoiler Alert)

Classroom of the Elite: Season 3 is set to continue and finish the 1st Year Arc. It’ll also start from Volume 8 of the light novel, which means it’ll cover the Mixed Training Camp Arc. In this storyline, each student’s abilities will be tested again to see if they can earn the most points despite all odds.

Furthermore, Arisu Sakayanagi will also play a vital role in the upcoming season, given last season’s cliffhanger. Season 3 might also animate the Event Selection Exam, where Ayanokoji tries to settle the score with Sakayanagi. Since the anime has remained faithful to the source material, a fierce duel between Ayanokoji and Sakayanagi is upon us.

Which Studio Is Making Classroom of the Elite: Season 3?

Season 3 will be animated by Studio Lerche, who also animated the previous seasons of Classroom of the Elite. They’re popular for animating other shows, such as Assassination Classroom, Asobi Asobase, and Danganronpa. Despite this, some fans question if they’re still the right ones for the job.

During the second season’s run, Studio Lerche was criticized due to their poor animation quality. The reason was that they had to resort to outsourcing, so some of the scenes weren’t animated by them. Furthermore, some fans say that Season 2 felt rushed in some places since it skipped parts of the source material. Despite the backlash, Studio Lerche hopes to redeem itself in Season 3.

Where Will Classroom of the Elite: Season 3 Be Aired?

Classroom of the Elite: Season 3 will probably air on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Netflix, just like the previous seasons. It’ll also be broadcasted locally in Japan on networks such as AT-X. For other countries in Asia, Season 3 will most likely be available on services like Animax and Muse Asia.
