Reincarnated as a Slime is one of those anime that you have no expectations for going in, but when you’ve finally watched the entire series, it leaves a memorable impression Rimuru’s exhilarating take on his fantasy life and old man Hakurou’s words of wisdom are just two of the reasons why the anime is so amusing. With its second season now complete, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Season 3 is all that fans are looking forward to next.

Unfortunately, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Season 3 has not yet been officially announced, although, you’ll be glad to know that a movie titled “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Scarlet Bond” debuted in Japan on 25th November, 2022. The story has been drafted out by the original author, Fuse, and it’s reportedly taking place directly after the second season.

When Is That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime: Season 3 Coming Out?

UPDATE: That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime: Season 3 has been confirmed to release in Spring 2024. The anime line-up for Spring 2024 should commence from April if everything goes according to plan, so expect to see Rimuru soon enough.

ORIGINAL STORY: Sadly, there’s no release date for That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime: Season 3 as the sequel hasn’t been confirmed. Though, due to the anime’s universal appeal because of its unique spin on the isekai genre, it’s only a matter of time before the series makes its way back to the small screen again, and if we were to guess, then you could see it return as early as 2024.

But before you get excited about the sequel season, you’ll have to watch the upcoming Scarlet Bond movie as it’s in fact going to continue the anime’s plot and eventually lead up to the point where the third season officially begins.

What Is That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime: Season 3 About? (Spoiler Alert)

The story of That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime: Season 3 will occur after the events taking place in the Scarlet Bond movie. The film will show Rimuru and the Jura Tempest Federation heading to a country named Raja when Benimaru’s brother Hiiro arrives asking for help against a menacing new evil.

Afterwards, Rimuru’s crusade against the Holy Empire of Lubelius is going to continue with even higher stakes this time around, while on the sidelines, Hinata sets her plan to resolve things by any means necessary into motion.

Which Studio Is Making That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime: Season 3?

Till now, all the adaptations including the first two seasons, the spin-off anime, and the Scarlet Bond film in the franchise have all been works of Studio Eight Bit. Currently, it’s not a done deal if that’ll be the case with That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime: Season 3, but the studio hasn’t failed us yet, so we see no reason for that to change.

Eight Bit did an outstanding job with the dynamic representation of the anime, something without Rimuru’s voyages wouldn’t have felt as lively as they did.

Where Will That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime: Season 3 Be Aired?

When it comes to streaming anime, nothing tops Crunchyroll and Funimation‘s amazing collection of anime. Both of the platforms are subsidiaries of Sony and hold the license for Reincarnated as a Slime, as such, that’s where you’ll catch That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime: Season 3 when it starts its official run.

The wait for the next season will be an irritating one, to say the least, but with the Scarlet Bond feature film releasing on 25th November, anyone hoping to dive back into the Axis World has something to look forward to.
