Call of the Night: Season 2 – What You Should Know

Kou may not be becoming a vampire for quite some time.

Just as the spring 2022 anime line-up wrapped up its run with unexpected hits like Spy x Family, anime fans were devastated at the thought of what to look forward to next. But no one could have been able to guess that summer 2022 would be just as good. Call of the Night was what took the anime-verse by storm this season, literally putting the heat in the summer roster of anime with its punchy audio-visual design and steamy plot.

After the anime’s first season finished airing with 13 episodes, demand for Call of the Night: Season 2 by fans was soaring across all social media platforms. But as good as its viewership was, the studio hasn’t yet confirmed a second installment. If you ask us, it’s a bit too soon for an official announcement as the studio has other projects to work on too, so we’re sure that a sequel in time will be made.

When Is Call of the Night: Season 2 Coming Out?

There’s presently no word as to when Call of the Night: Season 2 will return. With the first season airing recently, it’ll be some time before we get news on what’s to come. While we may not necessarily see the anime on the small screen soon, 2024 looks like a promising year.

The manga spans over 150 chapters as of this moment, however, only 35 or so have only been adapted into the anime. That’s certainly a sigh of relief as knowing that there’s a lot of source material out there just means that we’re all just waiting on the creators to give a nod for Call of the Night: Season 2.

What Is Call of the Night: Season 2 About? (Spoiler Alert)

The second season will pick things up from Chapter 46, although the studio still has to animate a few relevant chapters that they left off for later. While we don’t want to spoil all that much from the manga, the arcs that’ll be covered in Call of the Night: Season 2 will heavily feature Nazuna’s past.

The anime has been building up to Kou’s transformation into a vampire, and while that still hasn’t happened just yet, there’s a surprise twist coming up in the story that will make that statement true— well partly anyways.

Which Studio Is Making Call of the Night: Season 2?

Call of the Night: Season 2 will most likely be animated by Liden Films once again. The snazzy color palette of the anime fit perfectly with the depiction of Japanese nightlife, plus, the added sharpness and clarity of the visuals made every shenanigan of Nazuna and Kou feel more believable.

Tokyo Revengers and Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor are other works of Liden Films, so it doesn’t come as a surprise how top-notch Call of the Night’s anime looked.

Where Will Call of the Night: Season 2 Be Aired?

Although it hasn’t been confirmed, we’re pretty sure that like the first season, Call of the Night: Season 2 will be distributed on HIDIVE and Netflix.

Figuring out where to watch the first season was a hassle for most fans as it wasn’t right out available on big-name services like Crunchyroll. Hopefully, that doesn’t end up being the case next time, and Netflix too has the sequel available internationally instead of only in its Japanese region like it did with the original.
