Activision and Infinity Ward have announced the methods they’ll be taking to deal with the rising level of cheaters in the free-to-play battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone, and it’s a good one: suspected cheaters will be matched up with fellow cheaters.

The news comes from a recent tweet by Infinity Ward, who have gone into detail about the updates coming to Warzone this week. The tweet states that we should expect improved security, increased enforcement team resources and notifications when your reports on suspected cheaters have resulted in a ban.

In the future, Warzone will include the ability to report via killcam and spectating, though that feature is stated to be “coming soon”. Still, it’s good to know that those suspected of being dirty cheaters will be thrown together in matchmaking. It’s a system that’s already in effect in games like Apex Legends, and it’s a great way of filtering out cheaters from regular players while making the cheater’s experience absolutely miserable. You love to see it.
