Bandai Namco Tease Big Dark Souls News

Dark souls

Dark Souls 3 is due to hit PS4 and Xbox One next week. But the game’s publisher Bandai Namco are teasing us with some big Dark Souls related news via their Twitter account. Whatever this news turns out to be, we’re going to find out today.

There’s a few possibilities. Some fans and online forums are convinced the games release date is being pushed forward, and that’s certainly possible in terms of a digital release with the disc version still coming out next week. Ultimately this is likely wishful thinking on behalf of the fans.

The bigger and more exciting rumour is that it might be an HD remaster of the original Dark Souls, a game released in 2012. This has been rumoured in the past and would make sense to announce it with all the fever around the third game’s upcoming release.

Will we be getting Dark Souls HD later in the year? Hopefully we will know for sure later today when Bandai Namco make their official announcement. Companies have to be careful with making claims like this, teasing exciting news, because some fans are always going to be disappointed.
