With not long to go until the start of Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 6, the final hunter is making their way to the island as a new skin: Ant-Man. Yes, that famous hunter.
It’s a bit of an odd pick, for sure, especially as Ant-Man will presumably be the final crossover skin in a season that’s been absolutely littered with them. Ant-Man was last seen on the big screen in Avengers: Endgame, and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is due for release in 2022. No word on if it will be the MCU version, though it’s almost a guarantee that they won’t have licensed Paul Rudd’s face.

Ant-Man In Fortnite?
Yep, even though he had his own Landmark in Season 4 and the entire season was dedicated to Marvel, Ant-Man is only getting a skin the following season. A strange one.
As for how we know this is actually happening, a portal was decrypted that showed a forest floor and what looks like ants running around everywhere, though it is a little hard to tell.

On top of that, the game’s files has one encrypted PAK left called ‘SmallFry’, which certainly seems to align with a superhero that can shrink down to an ant. Finally, certain content creators were sent a goody bag full of hints about the skins that would arrive this season, an art farm being among them.
These portal are rationalised in Fortnite “lore” as being created by Agent Jonesy, who is travelling across the metaverse to bring famous hunters to the island to stop people from escaping through the Zero Point. Seems like an excuse for some crossovers to us, but that’s fine.
But what about The Wasp? While Ant-Man’s partner isn’t quite as well-known, she’s really come into her own in the last couple of movies she’s been in, plus Fortnite’s community love their female skins — it’d just be smart to include her as a bundle as well.

Ant-Man Fortnite Skin Release Date
Historically, these new portals popping up have coincided with the skins being released into the Item Shop within two days. For that reason, we’d say Ant-Man you will be able to buy Ant-Man in Fortnite between March 5th-7th and that he will hang around in the Item Shop until the end of Season 5.

As for the cost of Ant-Man in Fortnite, we expect him to cost around 1500 V-Bucks, if other crossover skins to go by. It also goes without saying that you will be able to pick up other cosmetics, such as emotes and Pickaxes, to go alongside the skin itself for extra money.
