If you’ve ever had the desire to just punch thugs until they explode, today is your lucky day. The demo for the upcoming Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise has landed on the UK PS4 store, with a US release scheduled later on today.
Lost Paradise, which is being developed by the same team behind the absolutely fantastic Yakuza series, puts you in the post apocalyptic boots of Kenshiro, an all-round badass who doesn’t take shit from anyone. He travels to the city of Eden in search of his kidnapped love, laying waste to anyone dumb enough to get in his way.
The demo is pretty hefty, weighing in at 8.72 GB, and if it’s anything like the demos for the Yakuza games, you’ll be able to carry progress over to the full game when it launches on October 2nd.
The game is based on the classic anime/manga of the same name, though it tells a unique story using those characters. These days, Fist of the North Star is best remembered as the origin of the “omae wa mou shindeiru” meme. Remember people: you are already dead.
