It’s been a long time coming for many, but it’s finally been confirmed: NetherRealm and Warner Brother’s Studios smash hit fighting game Injustice 2 will launch on the PC this “autumn/fall”. Seeing how we’re one month away from winter, we should expect the release to be imminent.

Though rumours of a PC release have been circling around for a while now, the two studios have only today confirmed it to be true, along with the announcement of a PC beta which will start tomorrow. The porting of the game has been handled by Polish PC porting professionals QLOC, responsible for Mortal Kombat XL and Dragonball: Xenoverse for the PC. They have the pedigree required, for sure.

Hopefully, this port will be much smoother than the much maligned and ill-fated port of fellow Warner Bros game Batman: Arkham Knight back in 2015, which launched with a litany of performance issues. It was so disastrous that the game had to be pulled from sale before being re-released months later. It’s a low bar of expectation to exceed, but still one that lingers in the memory of many PC gamers.

If you haven’t had chance to play Injustice 2 on consoles, you can expect a brilliant mix of engaging gameplay, amazing graphics and decent mode variety. We gave it a 9/10, stating that it was “quite possibly the most complete fighting game of the current generation.” Fingers crossed the PC port retains that level of quality without ballsing things up.
