Chlorosilanes (or SiH3Cl) is an uncommon resource that can be found across a myriad of planet and moon surfaces in Starfield. It’s useful in all kinds of crafting and can usually be found in areas that have Chlorine. Luckily, you won’t have to jump far to find Chlorosilanes, as they can appear pretty early in the game.
The easiest locations to obtain Chlorosilanes in Starfield are:
– Jemison (Alpha Centauri System)
– Gagarin (Alpha Centauri System)
– Earth (Sol System)
– Mars (Sol System)
– Europa (Sol System)
– Volii Epsilon (Volii System)
If you find a Chlorosilanes seep, then feel free to walk over and interact with it to acquire the resource. It will be absorbed into your inventory automatically after you collect it. Additionally, you can find Chlorosilanes in random containers and on corpses, but this isn’t a reliable farming method as they are random drops.
What is a reliable farming method, however, is the use of outposts. Flying to any of the locations listed above and planting an outpost next to a Chlorosilanes vein will allow you to generate this resource yourself. Just be sure to check back in every so often if you’re running low.
If farming or mining them isn’t for you, then there is an alternative method. Buying this resource from a variety of vendors isn’t a bad idea, as they can be fairly cheap for a bunch of them, especially if you have skill points invested in the Commerce skill.
An easy-to-find vendor that sells them can be found at Jemison Mercantile, located in New Atlantis by the spaceport. The UC Distribution Center, located in the commercial district of New Atlantis, is another nearby location to purchase this resource. Buying from both is a great way to stock up quickly in a relatively short amount of time.
Starfield is available now on PC and Xbox Series X & S.
