You wait all this time for an excellent sci-fi RPG to drop on Xbox Game Pass and then three come along at once. Granted, it’s a trilogy, but they’re still three top quality experiences. Today, PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members (along with EA Play subscribers) can download Mass Effect: Legendary Edition to play to their heart’s content.
Two parts upscaled ports and one part overhaul, Mass Effect: Legendary Edition takes the iconic trilogy and improves it for modern console with updated visuals and controls. While Mass Effect 2 and 3 received mostly superficial changes and improvements, Bioware put in work with the first game, massively improving the gunplay and controls.
For those on console, Mass Effect: Legendary Edition will be available as part of Xbox Pass Game Ultimate, which includes EA Play as part of its subscription. EA Play is also available on PlayStation too, so PS players shouldn’t feel out of the loop either. According to the official Xbox Blog about the announcement, it would appear that Mass Effect will straight up be available via PC Game Pass instead of just EA Play, though that remains to be seen.
