Potential GOTY Contender Fight Crab Coming To The Switch This September

CRAB BATTLE!

Fight Crab

Publishers Mastiff have announced that the physics based 3D brawler Fight Crab, developed by Calappa Games, will be launching on the Nintendo Switch in the West (and Australia) on September 15th, meaning you’ll be able to play your Nintendo Switch while screaming “CRAB BATTLE!” and no one will look at you funny. Okay, maybe they will, but still. Check out the trailer below.

As you might have gleamed from the name Fight Crab, the game will see giant crustaceans armed to the teeth with a variety of weapons do battle with only one rule (according to the press release): “those who are flipped onto their shells must admit defeat.” Time will tell whether or not it becomes more competitively viable that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but I’m crossing my fingers.

Fight Crab, which is set to launch on Steam next week, will feature a campaign mode with around 40 stages, including tutorials, 23 types of playable crab, 48 weapons and 11 arenas. Players can unlock skills and level up their crab to create a build that works for them, and even apply their skills online in 1v1 and 2v2 matchmaking, along with local matches to boot. Best of all, players can use the motions controls on their Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons to control their limbs freely, adding an extra layer of fun to the game, and a decent arm workout to boot.

Will you be picking up Fight Crab on the Nintendo Switch? Sound off in the comments.
