Skinny-dipping with Tom Nook.

Animal Crossing

Nintendo have announced a brand new update is coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which adds some brand new features such as the ability to swim and dive. It doesn’t sound like much but it adds a whole new dimension to the game, and it’ll be available from July 3rd. Check out the trailer below.

Summer Update Wave 1 will bring swimming and diving to the game, allowing to search for brand new creatures that reside underneath the ocean. Naturally, you’ll be able to donate these sea creatures to Blathers as part of a new section of the Aquarium. Diving also brings a new character, Pascal, who will trade DIY recipes for sea shells.

The update also brings with it a new encounter with Gulliver, though the trailer above doesn’t specify what that entails. Nintendo have also stated that the Summer Update will feature a second wave, set to be released in early August. No details have been given about that, but if it’s anything like wave 1, it should be something to look forward to.
