It was revealed yesterday during the Google Connect presentation that the fire-fighting “unsimulator” and gig economy parody would launching on Stadia via Early Access on May 21st, but it’s been announced today that Embr will also launch on Steam as an Early Access title on the same day. Check out the release date trailer below.
Developed by Muse Games and published by Curve Digital, players will control amateur firefighters who have joined the app Embr to become “have-a-go-hero” firefighters. Either alone or with friends, it’s up to you to find creative solutions to problems, whether that’s a simple as turning on the sprinklers to rescuing a granny by throwing her out the window onto a trampoline.
It’s fair to say that Embr isn’t a realistic simulation of what it’d be like to tackle fires in real life, but it looks like it’ll be quite a bit of fun all the same. Embr will launch into Early Access on Steam and Stadia for $19.99/€19.99/£17.99, with a 20% discount during the first week of launch. Naturally, more content and features will be added over the coming months. Are you excited for Embr? Sound off in the comments below.
