Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remaster Launching Tomorrow

Danger VERY close.

Modern Warfare 2

Rumours have been circulating for the past week that Activision will be releasing a remaster to the campaign of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and now those rumours have practically been confirmed thanks to some leaks.

A PlayStation Store listing, which has since been deleted but was reported on by Eurogamer, confirmed that the campaign would be launching tomorrow, March 31st. If that isn’t enough proof for you, the trailer has also leaked ahead of time, showcasing the game’s update graphics and a number of memorable set pieces.

According to Eurogamer’s sources, Activision have been sat on this remaster for a while now, waiting for the right moment. Specifically, they note that releasing the MW2 campaign remaster alongside Black Ops 4, which famously didn’t have a campaign, would have looked like they ditched the campaign in Black Ops 4 in favour of a paid standalone.

The German store listing stated that MW2 Remastered would set you back around €25, which roughly equates to about £22. The remaster boasts a complete overhaul of the game’s textures and animations, and also includes HDR lighting. Are you excited about the prospect of returning to MW2? Sound off in the comments.
