Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 3 Leaks Include Maps, Modes & MW2 Campaign Remaster

There's a LOT to get through here.

Modern Warfare

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Season 3 is set to go live in around April 7th, which is when Season 2 ends, and today’s update (which was originally scheduled to go live earlier this week) has already revealed some key details surrounding Season 3 thanks to dataminers on the r/ModernWarfare subreddit.

Season 3 will introduce two new maps, both of which have appeared in Modern Warfare games in the past. Backlot will be returning from the original Modern Warfare, and its subsequent remaster, while Village from Modern Warfare 3 will also be making a comeback. The update will also include two new weapons, the SKS sniper rifle and the Renetti pistol, and two new operators in the form of Alex and Ronin.

Warzone will also be receiving some significant updates in the form of brand new playlists. These playlists include your more standard fare, such as duos and quads, along with Hardcore and Realism playlists, which will reduce HUD elements and increase damage. There’s also High Action, which increase the speed of the encroaching gas, Shotty Snipers, which replaces all weapons with shotguns and snipers but you can’t call in loadout drops, and One Shot, with one-shot headshots and no loadout drops.

Perhaps the biggest news coming from the Season 3 datamine though is the chance to purchase a remaster for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s campaign. According to the leak, players can purchase Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, and they’ll receive the Underwater Demo Team Classic Ghost Bundle in Modern Warfare, or they can purchase the Ghost Pack: Oil Rig Bundle for 10000 COD Points and receive MW2 Remastered as part of it.

If this leak proves to be true, Season 3 of Modern Warfare and Warzone could be a real winner, largely because of the MW2 Remaster. What are your thoughts? Sound off in the comments below.
