Sucker Punch have announced that their upcoming samurai epic Ghost of Tsushima will be launching on PS4 on June 26th, and they’ve celebrated the news with a brand new story trailer, which you can watch for yourself below with your eyeballs.
The trailer spotlights two characters in particular, aside from main protagonist Jin Sakai. The first, Jin’s uncle Shimura, is the lord of Tsushima and Jin’s father figure, who grows concerned with the methods Jin uses to defend Tsushima against the invading Mongols, led by the brutal Khotun Kahn.
Today’s announcement also came with the news of the various digital and physical editions of Ghost of Tsushima that you can buy. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes a brand new skin set, two in-game items (the Charm of Hachiman’s Favor and a technique point), a dynamic PS4 theme, a digital mini art book from Dark Horse and the Director’s Commentary.
As for physical editions, there are four to choose from. Aside from your Standard Edition, the Standard Edition Plus includes artwork featuring a custom print finish, which is available at “selected retailers”. The Special Edition includes a steelbook and the same content as the Digital Deluxe Edition, but the real highlight is the Collector’s Edition. Just look at all the goodies it contains.
The Collector’s Edition includes all the Special Edition content, plus a replica Sakai Mask and stand, a sashimono war banner, a cloth map of the island of Tsushima, and a traditional furoshiki.
