The Outer Worlds Coming To The Nintendo Switch

Shocked? Same.

Outer Worlds

Here’s a surprising one for you: Obsidian Entertainment have announced that their ambitious single-player RPG The Outer Worlds will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. Hey, it’s not quite a Fallout: New Vegas Switch port, but it’s definitely something we’re interested in. Check out the announcement trailer below.

While we don’t see any footage of the gaming running on the Nintendo Switch, the trailer above features Matthew Singh, Senior Producer at Obsidian, talking about how The Outer Worlds can adapt to player choices, with features such as emerging flaws. The example Singh uses is a permanent concussion that can occur if you take too many blows to the head, but said flaw can offer perks in other areas and will be brought up in dialogue, so it’s not a total negative.

The trailer doesn’t mention a release date for The Outer Worlds, though it will be arriving at some point after the initial launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Fingers crossed that Obsidian and Private Division can create a Switch port worthy of the ambitious that The Outer Worlds is channeling.
