Next week, we will have the first piece of DLC for the Fallout 4 simply called ‘Automatron’ The trailer for this DLC looks awesome and as usual gives us a story in which we literally get our teeth into.
What we are given in the 77 second video is a glimpse of a truly terrible foe ‘The Mechanist’, who unleashes a series of robots on the commonwealth. It is your job to destroy the robots he has set upon the Wasteland but the best part of it all is that you can build and design your own killing machine. You can even swap out arms, legs, weapons, armour and even change the colour and the appearance to suit your robot recycling needs. Imagine it now, your own pink bedecked warrior trundling happily alongside you as you find out the mystery behind ‘The Mechanist’.
All we need now is for Craig Charles to be voicing the action when the robots do battle and maybe Shunt, Sergeant Bash or Sir Killalot to make an appearance and practically every man or woman of a certain age would keel over in happiness and delight. On top of this great news, if you’re at level 15 or above, you can give the robots custom voices, so here’s hoping that you will be able to have Codsworth’s voice imprinted onto your very own steely eyed battery powered dealer of death.
Costing $9.99 or a mere £7.00 it could add a very different dimension of combat and story-telling. I hope that the robot customization is as good as the weapon and armour customization that already exists in the game and that as you progress through the DLC, you can get bigger and better mods for your robot pal.
