Misko’s Cave of Chests Video Guide
Misko’s Cave of Chests is a side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that can be encountered in a cave to the north of Foothill Stable, specifically in Cephla Lake Cave.
The side quest asks you to find a special chest in a cave full of chests.
Outside of the cave, you will encounter Prissen and Domidak, two travellers who will very unsubtly hint that dogs can lead you to treasure among loads of chests with a single Green Rupee inside, with a dog actually being conveniently located at a nearby tent. For our playthrough, the dog could be befriended but for some reason wouldn’t help us with finding the chest in this quest. Feed him food and see what he does for you; it may be a bug.
As for the specific chest you need for this quest, head inside the cave and travel all the way to the back. You’re looking for a chest that looks like this in the ground near the back of the rearmost wall.
Use Ultrahand to scoop it out of the ground, then simply open it to be rewarded with Ember Trousers, which increase your attack in hot weather and have an armor rating of 2.
Afterwards, Prissen and Domidak will enter and unearth a Bottled Letter, which will give you clues to find the Fierce Deity Sword as part of the Misko’s Treasure: The Fierce Deity side quest. Once they leave, the Cave of Chests side quest will complete, but you can talk to them again afterwards outside for yet more side content.
