Team17 and Playtonic Games have announced that they will be bringing Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair to PS4, Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch and Steam this year. Check out the announcement trailer below.
The follow-up to 2017’s flawed but enjoyable adventure, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is doing thing a little bit differently to the original game. Impossible Lair will combine 2D platforming levels filled with secrets with a top-down 3D overworld that’ll combine puzzles and exploration to create a unique hybrid.
Again, the first Yooka-Laylee game didn’t exactly set the world on fire back in 2017, though there was plenty of enjoyable qualities that make it worth checking out, especially now with a sequel on the way. Fingers crossed the change in gameplay direction for Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair will be worth it when it launches later this year. Are you excited? Sound off in the comments below.
