SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have announced that Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be coming to PC and Xbox One via Xbox Game Pass on July 30th, joining both Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami on the subscription service. Hopefully, we’ll see the Yakuza games on Xbox and PC before the launch of Yakuza: Like A Dragon at the end of the year. Check out the announcement tweet below.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a ground up remake of the second game in the series, using the excellent Dragon Engine that was utilised in Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. Taking place a year after the events of the first, series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu once again finds himself embroiled into the turmoil of the Tojo Clan.
Yakuza Kiwami 2 includes a lot improvements over the first Kiwami, as players will be able to fully explore the city and enter buildings without waiting for loading screens. You’ll also seamlessly enter fights, with the engine adding more impact to your arsenal. On top of that, there’s new mini-games, challenges and a playable side-campaign featuring Goro Majima. Will you be downloading Yakuza Kiwami 2 on July 30th? Sound off in the comments below about how you’d like to see the rest of the Yakuza series on PC and Xbox One.
