As part of the ongoing Summer Game Fest umbrella, Microsoft have announced that they’ll be hosting a special demo event from July 21st through to July 27th, which will allow Xbox users to download and enjoy demos for a variety of upcoming games, some of which aren’t set to be released for a long time.

In the Xbox Wire post regarding the announcement, it’s noted that the majority of demos that’ll be available during the event are “show floor” demos, which you’d often see at events like EGX, PAX, E3, Gamescom and so on. These demos are not indicative of a game’s final quality, as they’re often utilising a build-in-progress version of the game, so there might be a few more hiccups than you’d expect.

Xbox have confirmed that more than 60 games will be available to demo on July 21st. Some final details are still to be determined, but the overall number of games is somewhere between 75 and 100, according to Xbox. A full list will be announced sometime closer to July 21st, but the Xbox Wire post cites Destroy All Humans!, Cris Tales, Haven, Hellpoint, Skatebird, The Vale: Shadow of the Crown, Raji: An Ancient Epic and Welcome To Elk. Will you be taking part in the Summer Game Fest Demo Event? How much Skatebird will you be playing? Let us know in the comments.
