Sheamus vs. Bray Wyatt (United States Championship)
Where did this match even come from? I hate when the creative does this. Wyatt family has a great run, disappears from the face of the earth and then get shoves into a midcard match with very little build up. I’m happy Bray is back, but after feuds with Cena and Jericho to be placed in a US title bout is a bit offensive and I feel only aids the decline of Bray. That being said, the US champion right now is Sheamus. So, although it may not be a particularly hyped or long match it will be of good quality. I mean, if you pretend its 2010 you can even imagine it’s a major title match.
I’m not sure who will win, I don’t think anyone cares either. I think given how inactive Sheamus has been in defending his title and how little I’ve seen him on my screen it makes sense to give the title to Bray and give them both a feud to sINK their teeth into.
Predicted winner: Bray Wyatt
Nikki Bella vs. Brie Bella – “Loser Becomes Winner’s Bitch” Match
Why is this a thing? It angers me this is still going. They had a chance to really make female wrestling in the top of the WWE a serious thing, especially with Stephanie getting involved. That didn’t happen though, obviously. It was all a massive pile of shit. They pushed quite possibly the two most overrated Divas in the division and as a result, the biggest pushed Divas match in the PG era was a massive joke. It angers me. I don’t care who wins, and you shouldn’t either.
But, in an attempt to be semi-professional I’ll try and look at the match more objectively. Given that Brie is the obvious underdog of the duo it makes sense for her to win, I don’t think Nikki has enough heat right now for the authority to help her and get involved, that being said, if/when Bryan returns it will help create a storyline. E.g; Bryan takes on the authority for bullying his wife, Bryan/HHH at Wrestlemania for a title match contract. (If that happens, we all saw that I called it first.) It makes sense for both Brie and Nikki to win. Given the stipulation, I can’t see how Brie can win and carry on her run as a face (because let’s be honest, we’d all abuse that power). So with all that being taken into account…

John Cena vs. Randy Orton (Winner to Receive Title Match vs. Brock Lesnar)
My mam loves to refer to me as a ‘Cena hater’. I’m not, I’ve just hit that awkward age where I’m no longer the demographic that he appeals to. I get the appeal, but it’s just the majority of the time he is not for me. I’m in two minds about this match, going down the route of giving Cena the title match means that Wrestlemania will be Cena/Lesnar. YAWN.
It’s been done, and whilst it’s perhaps forgivable on a lesser PPV, the winner of this match is obviously going to Wrestlemania to fight it out for the title. So, that means that Orton needs to win. It’s something different, and an Orton/Lesnar main event would be refreshing. If Cena gets the title match, he will lose it before the big ‘mania. It’s a hard one to call, but considering the predictability of a Cena win and the fact that Orton has been an Authority bitch will give very little pay off, it will go either two ways: Cena wins & Orton turns face or Orton wins. Either way this match has to be the start of a major storyline for Orton.
Predicted winner: Randy Orton.
Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose (Hell in a Cell)
Even writing this match makes me smile. I’m so excited about this. It’s a great match up and its been built up to perfection, the fact they’ve never had a full uninterrupted match where one of them (normally Dean) hasn’t been screwed over in some way and the fact that it’s in the devil’s playground. It gives me chills. I’ve not been this excited about professional wresting within the WWE for a long long time. I think the fact it’s in the cell gives Dean the obvious edge, it’s intense and dangerous just like Dean. I want Dean to win, I love that man. So, I feel my prediction for this match is both obvious and tinted.
Predicted winner: Dean Ambrose (as long as there’s no interruption)
