WWE Announce Most Successful WrestleMania Of All Time

WWE have confirmed via their corporate press website that WrestleMania 39 has become the highest-grossing live event in the companies long history. Both nights of ‘Mania has not only destroyed gate earnings but also total profits from viewership, merchandise, sponsorship and social media. It’s hard to deny that WWE are on a massive high right now, right on the eve of their transition to Endeavor.

In total, WrestleMania 39 generated $21.6 million, breaking previous profits by a staggering 27%. SoFi Stadium was packed to the brim with an enormous 161,892 fans in attendance across the two-night event, witnessing some stellar yet controversial matches from the likes of Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, John Cena and more.

With an abundance of sponsors being drip-fed into almost every corner of the broadcast, it comes as no surprise that WWE’s earnings rose exponentially, with revenue from sponsorship reaching over $20 million.

WrestleMania was also a social-media sensation over the course of the weekend, with other 500 million views online and 11 million hours worth of video consumed by wrestling fans. This has seen an incredible increase of 42% from previous years events.
