– In the wake of the attack on the Manchester Evening News arena earlier this week, WWE has cancelled their planned NXT event on Tuesday 6 June.

In a statement released earlier today, WWE said:

“Out of respect for all those affected by the Manchester tragedy, WWE is cancelling the NXT event on Tuesday 6 June at the Manchester Arena.”

The statement went on to add that all tickets purchased for Manchester would receive a full refund, and that they would be offering a free ticket (at point of purchase) to their event in Leeds the following night.

In addition, the superstars will be in Manchester June 6th, meeting those affected by the tragedy, whilst WWE will be making a donation to the ‘We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.’

WWE will be returning to Manchester later on in the year to tape TV episodes of Raw and Smackdown respectively.

Cultured Vultures send their thoughts and prayers to all affected by the attack.

PWInsider is reporting that Tommaso Ciampa has suffered a new injury (separate to his original ankle injury) that will require surgery and post-surgical rehab.

The second injury was believed to have been caused during the ladder match against the Authors of Pain, at NXT Takeover: Chicago.
